About me
Having personally experienced the anxiety and stress associated with life’s journey I decided to move away from a long, enjoyable corporate career within recruitment and re-train, study and qualify as Person Centred Counsellor. Person Centred counselling encourages an exploration of your thoughts, experiences and feelings which in turn can help you to be open to change, personal growth and self-exploration.
This safe space may help you find your own personal power helping you to deal with life’s ever-changing dilemmas encouraging you to regain the confidence to make changes that are important to you.
Working together, at your own pace will allow us to explore what is troubling you allowing deep routed issues to be gently uncovered thus identifying what you need creating space to help reconcile your thoughts and find new ways of coping.
Previous Experience
I have worked as a voluntary counsellor with BlueSci and Trafford Carers, supporting adults with issues such as anxiety, stress, grief and depression. I have experience of working with young people at Trafford’s teenage drop-in centre, working with teenagers on an individual and group basis.
I have also worked with bereavement groups previously. In my aforementioned recruitment career I have communicated with many people at all levels ensuring confidentiality, privacy, empathy and listening skills are paramount.
I am now a fully qualified person-centred counsellor and offer an initial free of charge consultation without obligation. I work with clients on a private 1:1 basis and abide by a strict ethical code of practice as set out by my accrediting body (BACP) of which I am a member and regularly update my skills through continuing professional development.
I have a beautiful therapy room based in Sale which has onsite parking and disabled access facilities. I can provide sessions during the day, evenings and some weekends.
